Canton aka Girls Trip

Well I had so much fun the past few days up in Canton. We stayed at a gorgeous house - hosted by the sweetest girl you will ever meet, Cass I can't thank you enough for having us. We had an absolute blast shopping, getting toe rings and our toes painted. I can say however after day two my feet were ready for a little relief from all the fun :) We all got some of the cutest stuff for our houses and kiddos - I can't wait to go again. Thanks for a great weekend girls...

Spring Break Recap

Oh my, what a week we had!! We had our very own 'staycation' :) Hayden created a list of thing he wanted to do and we got to about 7 of the 12!!

First Hayden got to go camping with the Knox's. Even if they didn't see any bears Hayden had a fantastic time. A big thanks to the Knox's for letting him tag along and for giving him a reason to learn how to ride his bike!
On Wednesday we headed to Space Center which was a lot of fun. We went on the tram tour this time and got to see all of the fun real space stuff: Mission Control, Practice Facility and Rocket Park. I can't believe it but they actually put the shuttle inside a building, I remember all the times my grandpa took me to see the shuttle when family would visit and now I am taking my kiddos, crazy!

I will have to find them but I have several pictures of me in front of this same rocket

Riley and dad getting ready for the tram ride

Hard to tell but that is Hayden standing in front of Mission Control - he thought that was big stuff

Next we took in a little putt putt down in Clear Lake. Hayden liked this course way better than the one in Pearland, but I think he really liked the rock wall inside.

Riley watching, not sure about what was going on

Thursday we headed to Kemah with the Knox's and the Chen's. We had a great lunch at the Aquarium followed by quite the day on the Boardwalk. All the kids got wristbands to ride but we had mixed reactions to the rides. But as usual Hayden was all in for all the rides. The moms even got in on one ;)

Friday we headed out to the Children's Museum. They have made a number of changes and we loved every one of them. Hayden liked the new Power Up card and all the exercise, I mean fun things to go along with that. Ms. Riley loved the expanded Tot Spot, she was very sad when it was time to go. We will definitely have to go back there soon.

Hayden and Riley loving each other! This is my new favorite pic!

After lunch at the park and short nap for Riley we headed to the Aeros game. We had never been together to a game and everyone had a great time. Riley couldn't get enough of the Mascot, Chilly and Hayden loved cheering on the team. Unfortunately, they lost in a 12 round shot out!!

So that was our staycation, all and all I think we all had a great time!!

Hello

Hi, I decided to join the blogging world. Not sure how well I will be at keeping up but it should be fun posting about all the fun stuff going on in the Curry household. Read below for our own version of March Madness! But its now Spring Break and we are off for a week :)

I also wanted to let everyone in on my new year's resolution. I decided to run the Disney Half Marathon in January 2010!!!. I don't quite know what I have gotten myself into yet but I am ready for anything :) Hayden is even going to participate in the kids run. I would love to have as many people join me in the fun, so if you are up for the challenge go sign up...

Riley

Can someone explaing how this little tiny baby

is now 18 months...

She has grown up way to fast and is WAY to smart for her own good. But my goodness she is the sweetest thing you have ever met. And she can light up the room with her smile and laughter, simply amazing. I can't wait to see what the next 18 months, 18 years has in store for us...

Bike Rider

Well it has taken two years but Hayden finally decided he was going to ride his bike. He is going camping witht he Knox's for a few days and they wanted him to bring his bike. Well we told him that we would have to put training wheels back on for him and that is when he decided he could handle it without the training wheels :) Here is a clip of him riding all by himself, he was quite proud of his accomplishment...

We celebrated with a some ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

Riley with her cheesy grin and daddy

Then when we got up this morning he decided he needed to try it out again so at 8:45 am we were outside riding some more.

If you didn't know it, riding is serious business...

And with that he was off camping with the Knox's for the next three days. When he gets back we will have a long list of requested activities to work on for Spring Break. Kind of crazy his is so late but at least there shouldn't be the big crowds.

Rodeo Time

We finally got a chance to go to the rodeo this year. Hayden was seriously beginning to think we weren't going. So with Mark's foot still in a boot Hayden and I went to the rodeo to see Pat Green, woohoo!! Well I went to see Pat Green, Hayden went to ride the rides and play the games. As soon as we walked in he was headed straight to the carnival. I said what about inside and he was like "No that's boring, its the same ol' stuff." And with that we went to the carnival. Man that kid is getting way to big, none of the little stuff any more...

We took a ride on the gondola across the carnival area. He was a bit nervous but manged a few smiles along the way.

He loved looking down at everyone and waving.

And then it was on to the big time fun. He went on the roller coaster by him self. Jumped right up into the front seat and loved every minute of it. After this he and I both went on something that spun us upside down and round and round. He was ready to be done with the big rides for a little bit after that one :) but said he would go again.

After the rodeo and concert, which I took no pictures of, we headed back to the carnival and he played games until all his tickets were gone. On our way out from the carnival he said, "Mom, I am so lucky." I would have to agree, I think we both are :) He barely hung on until we got to the car to fall asleep and then he was out.
